Christmas 2010

What a difference a year makes when it comes to open Christmas gifts with a baby!  Last year Cael didn't really care about what was going on at Christmas.  He had fun but he didn't open gifts or anything.  This year we couldn't keep him out of the presents....his or anyone elses!

Here he is with his cool bath toy from Cool Aunt Joy.  He LOVES this thing!  It makes the water run through it constantly.  He tries to drink out of it!

This was originally part of his Halloween costume until we changed it to R2D2.  He loves to push the button over & over & over again!  He doesn't like having the tools in it either.  They have to be out so he can fix things!

 Not sure if this was even one of his gifts but he opened it anyway.

 The big one!  His gift from Santa - a 1948 Indian.  It makes engine sounds, goes forward with the headlight on, goes in reverse with a tail light on. 

 HE LOVES IT!!!

Cael's gift from Granddad & Grandma Marsh.  Courtney could even hook up my ipod to it and it played it through a big speaker.  Unfortunately there was an issue with it's battery & they had to take it back & just get the money.  :(

 We had to go to McDonalds in Salina because AJ wanted to go down the slide with Cael.  Cael couldn't go down the slide because he was too small but they still had fun!

Cael & mommy went to wrestling practice with daddy so he could ride his motorcycle in the gym.  He got pretty good at steering...as long as he has lots of space!

 We had to go show the neighbors his bike.  He really liked the chain on their gate.  He liked it so much he decided to hook himself like a fish!

Homemade wreath

I saw this on someone's blog that I've been looking at.  You can buy wreaths like this from catalogs but they cost like $50 or some God awful expensive price.  I decided I could make my own out of Christmas ornaments & wire.  I made a big hot pink & silver one for Joy as my first try.  It turned out nice but I think it was too big.  And I didn't have a bow so it didn't look finished.  I made a pink, blue & silver one for Mrs. Tracy with a silver bow and it was cutie patootie!  This is the one I made for a therapist that comes to my room.  I thought it turned out adorable!!  If anyone wants a wreath made for someone let me know...they make great gifts!!!!

Home wrestling tournament

We had our home Varsity tournament a few weeks ago.  Cael is getting the hang of this wrestling thing.  He will crawl or walk to the center of the mat & get down on all 4 like the big boys do.  I tried to get a picture of it but of course he crawled away!

 The boys decided we should all go out to eat together after the tournament.  They wanted a picture of the group.  Being a mom of a toddler I carry a camera with me at all times - am I crazy?!  So I took pictures.  This was try #1....note the bunny ears on Coach Marsh.

 Try #3....No bunny ears on Marsh but bunny ears now on Coach Weber and half the people aren't looking!  Forget it boys!



Back to Sabetha

We were back in Sabetha for a wrestling tournament a few weeks ago & of course we got to see Marilyn!!  She brought Jethro to see Cael because it's been a long time since they saw each other.  Cael is 2 days older than Jethro.  They seemed to have a lot of fun together!  Of course I wasn't thinking and didn't get the camera out when they were doing super cute stuff but I did get it out!  This picture is so cute!!

 They had fun playing with this until Cael (I think it was Cael) fell.  :(

 Of course the boys had to get out on the mat when there was a break.

 They tried to put the ankle bands on the boys and have them wrestle.  They took them off pretty much right away.  After a little while Cael would take it off & then go back to someone wanting it back on.

Christmas at Mrs. Tracy's

Even with how busy Santa was this year he still managed to come to Mrs. Tracy's for Christmas!!  Cael sat on Santa's lap so good last year at the mall.  This year - yeah there was no sitting on that man's lap!!  He liked Santa but he wasn't going to sit on his lap.  In fact he wasn't going to SIT anywhere near that old man!  He was so cute though.  They took a present out of the bag for him and he put it back in the bag!

 Opening presents from Santa with Mrs. Tracy so mommy could take pictures!  He got the cutest Mickey Mouse jammies complete with slippers.  He loves those slippers!!  We have to put them on a lot.

Okay - since I have to take pictures with statues and things like that you can imagine I was in HEAVEN when I saw this in the sand at the harbor.  You can see all the different body parts coming out of the sand and of course, I took a picture with each part.  I even had special ideas for how to pose with each part!
