Happy Thanksgiving!!

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We sure did! We didn't have school on Wednesday so we got up and drove to Minneapolis that afternoon. We had dinner with Sharon & Wilbur, Curtis, Travis, Nicole and Alta that night and then we went out for a little bit. It was strange going out in Minneapolis again - we feel like we don't know anybody there anymore! We went to the Noon house and spent the night and actually SLEPT!! Mr. Boy slept for over 10 hours that night!! Wooo Whoo!!! What a night! Thanksgiving day we got up and made chocolate pie (I'm not allowed at a family function without my mother-in-laws chocolate pie!) and roll ups and then Nicole and Travis came over for me to take pictures. I took a bunch of maternity pictures and they turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself! I won't post any because Nicole hasn't even seen them yet.... As soon as we were done with that the family was there for lunch so we ate. No drama this year....darn. Then we took some family pictures just in case things don't work out next Sunday with our pictures we're supposed to have taken. While we were taking Cael's pictures he sat up by himself for the first time! He did it just long enough for me to snap some pictures and then he was done. They are so cute! We went and spent a few hours with Grandma Butler and Aunt Kim. Cael got to meet his cousin Steven for the first time. It was nice to spend some time with all of David's kids also. I've only met Walker twice - he's so big now! Thursday night we went to Salina and spent the night with Granddad Calvin and Grandma Donna. It was nice to hang out with them for a while. We don't see them enough but it's hard with them living in Salina and us living here. I really am thankful my parents live close. I don't think they could handle not seeing Cael every weekend. And it's so nice when he gets to spend the night with them to give us a night off. Anyway - Friday we went to Amy's house in Vesper to see Courtney's siblings. I finally go to meet the twins! There were so many kids running around. I think Cael got a little overwhelmed with so many loud kids around but he did great anyway. We decided to drive home Friday night because Cael was sleepy and Courtney had practice Saturday. We didn't want to have to rush. (I know this will say I posted Saturday because that's when I started this but it's really Sunday.) Courtney had practice last night and I went to Mom & Dad's for dinner with Aunt Sandi. Courtney came over after practice and we had a wonderful early birthday dinner for Mom. Cael slept at Mom & Dad's last night so we could get some sleep - our last Saturday before wrestling tournaments start up! Next Saturday we head to Effingham for the first tournament of the year. It will be interesting to see how Cael does there all day but I'm sure he'll be great....as always! He has his very own wrestling singlet and baby wrestling boots (sooo freaking cute!) and I bought him a special wrestling diaper bag. Don't worry I'll take pictures and post them. This morning we met the parents to get Cael and then I just got back from seeing The Blind Side with Nicolas and Amanda. What a great movie!! Poor Courtney stayed home with the boy. I think it was probably nice for him to have some time alone with his son since he's not home much lately. And he's not done for the night yet....he has to pick up Dr. Clamurro from the airport at 11:00 tonight!! Poor guy has to get up and work tomorrow too. Wow - we've had a busy last week but it was a great holiday. Cael slept through his first Thanksgiving dinner so he didn't get any goodies. I can't wait for his first Christmas season! And hopefully by Christmas he'll be eating real food and not just oatmeal! We hope you all had a great holiday - I know we have so much to be thankful for this year. I am so thankful for my amazing family. I have the best husband, though I don't give him enough credit for being so wonderful. And I have the best, calmest, mellowist (don't know if that's a real word), amazing baby. I know I have more than I deserve and I could not ask for more.
